Mr. M. Suresh Hariharan is dedicatedly working in the aviation industry from past 30 years. At present, he is working as an officer in the finance department of Air India Ltd., Mumbai. Mr. Hariharan is suffering from polio in his left hand. For him, life is an opportunity to make the others’ world better. Hence, he does his bit to make this world beautiful by helping disabled people in his own way. Global Aid has been just that right platform where he reaches and supports underprivileged. Today Mr. Suresh is providing his valuable services as an advisor to Global Aid.
Interest/Passion: Deaf Community and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities
Kodakkal Shivaprasad is a an active banker working in Canera bank, Shimoga. He is a hearing challenged and leader of the deaf community in India. He is married to another physically challenged woman banker Naga Ratna and blessed with a son and daughter. Shivaprasad’s services to the deaf community and physically challenged community as a whole are commendable.
Mr. Narsing Rao Bongurala
Interest/Passion: Web Aceessibility, Web Design, Graphic Design, Print Media, Social Media etc.
Narsing Rao Bongurala is from Hyderabad City. Moves on wheelchair for mobility. Owner of SM Group. Presently working for some Prestigious Clients in Web Accessibility, Website development and Graphic Designing areas. Founder of an NGO called WOW (Wonder on Wheels) with an aim to work on Right to Accessibility for Persons with Disabilities, Skill Enhancement for Underprivileged and Differently Abled, Accessibility Consulting etc. Their website is http://www.wowfoundation.in. He trained a lot of budding web designers on the latest web tools. Also maintains Global Aid website since initiation. His ambition is to help the poor and downtrodden people in the society and to motivate those people who consider disability is the end of life.
Ms. Manni Jai Suravarjhala
Interest/Passion: Corporate Communications and Fund Raising
Manni is a compassionate individual. Currently working as Deputy Director to IGP, Manni’s help, encouragement and blessings are very vital to Global AID. Manni specializes in corporate communications and is helping the grass root level organisations and fundraising for disability and other causes.
Mr. Srinivasu Chakravarthula
Interest/Passion: Leader in Web Accessibility
Srinivasu Chakravarthula studied in the area of Computer Science and is certified in ‘assistive technologies’. He started his career as Head of the Braille Production Unit at National Association for the Blind, Karnataka Branch, Bangalore. He then moved on and taught Computer Science at The Manik Public School, Bidar and also set up the Computer Training Centre at Hyderabad and Maniknagar, Bidar.
In the year 2005, he began to specialize in accessibility and started working for Net Systems Informatics India Pvt. Ltd. and its subsidiary – BarrierBreak Technologies, Mumbai. During his stint at Net Systems, he was instrumental in accessibility testing, imparting accessibility training to corporates, creating awareness about accessibility and assistive technologies. Srinivasu played an innovative role in organizing Techshare India 2008 – India’s 1st Accessibility and Assistive Technologies Conference and Exhibition. He was also the
Program Coordinator for magazine a3 that talked about Ability, Accessibility and Adaptability. Srinivasu currently heads Accessibility Practice at HCL Technologies. His charter includes building competency, drive the accessibility related initiatives.
Mrs. Padma Meenakshi
Interest/Passion: Social Work and Media
Padma Meenakshi, a Doctorate in Communications and Journalism is a journalist by passion and trainer by profession. Currently holds the role as Assistant Manager, Education (Financial Crime Compliance) with an International Financial Institution. Prior to this worked as Reporter, Editor and News Presenter with Vaartha, Leader (Print) and Excell Media (Local TV Channel). During her stint with media, won several laurels and awards for her reports and documentaries with regard to culture, heritage and development issues, and bagged the Best Journalist Award -2003 instituted by Vizag Journalist Forum. Known for her unbiased and value based reporting in the journalistic circles and has several news reports and interviews with dignitaries to her credit. Received Presidents Guide Award (1988) and participated in several Red Cross Initiatives and NSS Camps during her school and College days. Volunteered as Media Co-ordinator for Art of Living, a Non-Profit Organization, Visakhapatnam. During her free time, loves to listen to music, experimenting on culinary skills, spend time with friends over healthy conversations, reading and writing and to lose in the lap of Nature.
